This variety comes from Gitesi, a private washing station located in the Kibuye valley near Lake Kivu on the Western border. The beans are of a Bourbon varietal, wet processed, and grown at high elevations around 1,800 meters. Known as the ‘land of a thousand hills’ Rwanda is rapidly becoming one of the top African coffee producing countries.
